Looking for 29" Full Suspension

I'm looking for a 29" with rear suspension. I'm familiar with the Gary Fisher HiFi and the Specialized Stumpjumper FSR 29 is there anything else out there?

Asylum and Titus make a couple nice bikes using an FSR rear end. I am not a big fan of the Fisher rear suspension.

The Fisher bike is a litttle easier on the checkbook.

But I think a RED Titus 29'er Racer-X is in my future though.....

Hey thanks for the input. Here's what I came up with so far. This is a list of the different manufacturer's lines with a starting at approximate price for that particular line.

I was disappointed that Specialized featured only a high end model in the 29" wheel size.

If you are budget minded and/or do not need the name, you should consider a few other frames:

Astrix Monk, Voodoo Canzo, Carver’s 99’er (coming soon) – all with MSRP around $1000 for the frames. Both the Astrix and the Voodoo are available through BTI, a major distributor, so any local shop can order one for you.

Here is my wife’s Monk with a carbon Lefty Max on the front end. She could not be more pleased…

Salsa Dos Niner is not really a FS, but more a soft tail. The rear gives you 1" of suspension. I love the bike, and it rides like a FS what with the 1" the flex in the stays and the 29er tires.

I've got lower back issues and I'm looking for just a little cushion, that 1" of travel is more of what I'm looking for. Something to take the teeth rattling and jarring out of the ride. Would also help if I didn't always ride full out but that's not going to change anytime soon.

Depending on your budget, there are a few pivotless softails (1” or so of travel in the rear) that you could consider. Here are the ones that I can think of off hand.

Salsa Dos Niner
Funk La Ruta
Blacksheep custom (pivotless, but uses Fox RP3 in the rear)
Moots Mooto-X YBB

I am sure that you could find a Salsa dealer nearby with a demo Dos Niner, and I know that Speedgoat has a Mooto-X demo.
