New to mounting biking.

I am new to the sport and my girlfriend and I bought our first bikes. Was wondering if some people can recommend some trails to ride to introduce us to the sport and help us become a decent rider. Please mainly in Pittsburgh area (for now at least). Thank you.

Where specifically do you live? There are many places to ride in Pittsburgh, and one of them may be close enough to you to just bike there.

I live right next to frick park. I ride most of te trails tere, but wanted to slowly introduce my gifriend and I to some single track. That's why I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to some great entry rides with moderate obstacles. I am afraid to ride one and it's a little to advance.

RamJam, you should try either Boyce Park in Monroeville/Plum or Pleasant Valley Park in Murrysville.

PV is very suited to a beginner to intermediate rider and the trails are VERY well maintained with minimal technical work and obstacles. The park is on Pleasant Valley Road (off Business Route 22). Search the web and you can find trail maps at pvpark (dot) org

Boyce has something for everyone and you can spend all day there and not ride all the trail. It's easy to get turned around at times and you can find yourself in a hairy spot now and then if you don't know where you're going. That said, park at the soccer fields and go explore. You won't be disappointed.
