To quote Robert T (he made me laugh out loud): "it's a shithole." Even the horses are staying off it.

The new lower entrance to the climb up Ridge from the Spillway (across from beaver Pavillion) is flooded and probably dangerous.

Please be judicious about riding in these conditions. Especially the newer stuff. As much as it pains me to say it: ride the roads.

Got out to North Park yesterday. While the snow is deep, the traction was amazing.





Just kidding.

Rode NP on Sunday. Dropped down off of the pool road loop onto a recently excavated road. Good until the END of the road. Hike a bike for 1/4 mile in 18" of snow. Ended up above the old flea market. Dropped(hiked) down to the market. And made our way back up to the pool. Snow shoes would have been the ticket! We'll try again next Sunday. BTW, Just joined PORc and live behind Koto Buki. Last house on left before the road gate. We ride NP every Sunday afternoon around 1:00. Will update as soon as conditions get BETTER!

We started to dig out behind Koto Buki. Made it 500 yards past the road gate then dropped down into the woods to the right. Progress is SLOW GOING !!!Only two of us. We will continue on Sunday around 1:00. Anyone that would like to help is welcome.(CRAZY) You can park in my driveway on the left before the gate.(1800) Will update after Sunday.

I'm there! And I will beware of dog, LOL! I've seen that sign a million times. I wonder if digging will still be needed since the forecast looks warmer this week. Yeah, I'm sure digging is needed, there is so much snow and ice.

Looks like it's in the 40s all next week. Just wait a bit and let it all melt - into a muddy mess.

Any plans to work on the snow behind Koto Buki have been canceled . Mother nature called and said she'll take care of it for us. I'll be riding somewhere. Thanks!!!!!

How are the trails in North Park? It was pretty warm today...wow I've been in Erie too long if I think 40 is warm.
But anyways, let me know how the riding is.

Trails no good...but the roads are worse (lots of people crowding path around lake and potholes are a threat). Heard good things about Frick, but I have no firsthand knowledge. Rain in forecast this week so maybe that will take a few inches off the snowpack. Rays, Rays, Rays...

On the road, I have been parking near the stoplight by the football field, riding up the hill past girl scout cabin & the golf course, a few back neighborhood roads off the flat part by the golf course, and either down past the B-ball courts or all the way out Brown Road past the nature center, then up the hill to the light house, road not plowed so back down, and loop around the lake back to the car. Not bad for a road ride, lots of climbing. 9 miles. I'm on a mt bike though, there is still a lot of salt and cinders on the roads.
